R.C.I.A
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Coordinators: Maria Raymundo & Leonor Rivera

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A) is a journey through different spiritual phases of increasing maturity by which one prepares to commit oneself to Jesus Christ and become full members of the Catholic faith community through the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Participants in RCIA are known as catechumens, and ruing the celebration of Rite of Election, they become known as Elect. They are prepared for the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation during Easter Vigil.

After the person is initiated, they continue with the period of Mystagogy, where they will reflect on their experiences at the Easter Vigil and continue to learn more about the Catholic Church.
